LOUIS BRAUN
Louis BRAUN, youngest son of Conrad BRAUN and Anna Marie WICKET BRAUN was born in Illinois. He was married to Sarah Kluth November 21, 1882 at Hoffman, Illinois. Sarah was listed as 19 years of age at the time of marriage. After their marriage (then Hoffman was called Osnabruck) they made their first home at Huey (now Clement) Illinois. All eleven children were born there, three dying in infancy. Louis was a blacksmith.

ANNA SOPHIA CAROLINA BRAUN
b. January 22, 1890; Huey, IL d. March 30, 1943; Miles City, MT Anna (Braun) ROBERTSON was the first postmaster at Sand Springs, MT. Here are notes from her obituary: Anna was born on 22 Jan 1890 in Huey, Clinton County, Illinois. She died on 30 Mar 1943 in Miles City, Montana. This community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Anna Robertson, wife of Norman S. Robertson of the Edwards community. Her death occured at Holy Rosary hospital in Miles City last Thursday following a comparatively brief illness. Born in Huey, Ill., the former Miss Anna Braun came to Montana in 1910 and in that same year on Nov. 30 was married to Mr. Norman Robertson. Their marriage took place at Lewistown, Montana. In the years since then Mrs. Robertson has lived on the farm in the Edwards community with her husband. (from book by Mary Koyama) |
