Here are a variety of services that are offered by Kinsearchers:
- Record pull
- I'm willing to pull a copy of a document at a local repository and send it to you.
- One on one consultation (in person or via the internet)
- Are you having trouble with Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org or any of the desktop genealogy programs (RootsMagic, Family Tree Maker, etc)? Let's spend two hours together and review them so that you can continue your search on your own. Typically recommend a minimum of two hours.
- Research to help you break down your family tree brick wall or find the next generation for you
- This is the most common genealogical problem that one encounters, because the research for finding ancestors must go beyond the Internet and computer searchers. I'll work with you to develop the right research question, a contract that will outline the type of research that will be done, and the length of time that will take, as well as the deliverables at the end of the research. With experience in research in a variety of different states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Montana, and in a variety of different types of repositories (such as: Family History Library, Salt Lake City; National Archives in Washington DC, courthouses in multiple counties) I can help you find those elusive documents that will pave the way to finding more about the story of your ancestors. (10 hour minimum)
- Research for an application for a lineage society (NSDAR for example)
- Each lineage society requires full documentation and records that demonstrate your ancestors' relationship based on their requirements. I can help you determine what is needed, create the citations, and work to find the missing items as you request. The length of research and completion of the application will depend on the information you already have. The cost for this will be dependent on the research needed.
